Webinar: The new complex and uncertain U.S. trade landscape
How shall Swedish companies navigate and are there any best practices how to continue with business in the US?
FROM BUSINESS SWEDEN:
The Liberation Day that took place 2nd of April 2025 came with the largest tariff increase in US peacetime history. A tariff that President Donald Trump defines as “reciprocal” tariff. A trade measure where the United States imposes tariffs on imports from other countries equivalent to the tariffs and alleged non-tariff barriers to trade that those countries levy on U.S. goods.
Since then, it has been a lot of uncertainty in what tariff shall be taken in considering depending on which country the product is manufactured in, the country of Origin, what kind of product and what materials the product contains. There are different tariffs for different Country of Origin, products and materials. Now, as of August 20th a tenative agreement for EU is in place, this can give Swedish companies some predictability.
Some of the topics that will be discussed during this webinar.
• Steel and aluminum tariffs – what are the latest tariffs?
• 15% tariff on all products or?
• Auto and auto parts what is the latest tariff
• What more can we expect in the future
