3-day trip focusing on the energy sector in Hamburg and the opportunities for Swedish companies to do business there.
The Hamburg metropolitan region with a population of 5,3 million people is the heart of northern Germany. It also boasts the highest GDP per capita of any German state.
Västsvenska Handelskammaren in collaboration with Hamburg Invest (the primary representative of companies and industry in Hamburg) and Scoreline, the representative for Hamburg Invest in Sweden has arranged this 3-day market exploration trip to Hamburg to focus on the lucrative energy sector. Information seminars on current projects and best practices, meetings with Hamburg-based energy companies and key stakeholders as well as information on the support available from Hamburg Invest will be included in the trip.

ENERGY HILL GEORGSWERDER
A fomer landfill site now a renewable energy hill created as part of the Internationeale Bausstellung IBA Hamburg (International Building Exhibition).
THE CENTER FOR RESOURCES AND ENERGY (ZRE)
A former waste incineration plant now being converted to a domestic waste sorting plant serving the West of Hamburg. 140,000 tonnes of household waste will be sorted then fermented extracting biogas for the natural gas grid and using biomass and solid fuels to generate electricity and heat.
